The EU has extended the mandatory implementation date of the new hazard-based standard, EN 62368-1 to December 20, 2020, which means that Information Technology Equipment (ITE) shipped into the EU after this date will require compliance to the new standard whether it is currently certified or not, i.e. no grandfathering.
